The lack of the rubber seal between the lid and the stoneware did seem to concern many, and customers were skeptic as to whether this would lead to the steam escaping from the sides of the lid.
Thankfully, however, despite the lack of the rubber seal, the food was cooked to perfection and no spilling or dripping was noted.
